    1. Hi Sheena,

To calculate the gain for parbolic dish antenna we use the below formula.

      g=(sq(pi)*sq(D)*effiency)/sq(lamda)
where D is diameter and lamda is wavelength.
Please substitute the values .you will get the answer.

  2. shouldn't 19th ans be d.) cuz phase error won't result in frequency variation rather just phase distortion

  9. ans. of 51 should be a.
in a. overall noise figure is 3.5
in b. overall noise figure is 3.63

    hence min. is 3.5 .

  10. Hi Harry,
The answer to 39th question should be A.Divergence is defined as net outflow of a field from the substance. This scenario is satisfied by A but C can also satisfy that scenario as there is no field entering or leaving the conductor.
Its tricky but other posts show its answer as A.
It would be good to your audience if you provide explanation to this answer.

    Great job

    1. Hi ,

In a simple words i can say divergence is nothing but the leakage.
When ever flux or the field will flows out the in any closed surface divergence will be positive. When you see the 1 and 2 diagram , there is net outward flow of flux so....net divergence is positive is both the case. While in third it is zero.

      Delete
    2. Divergence is zero when net inward flux and outward flux are equal (+ ve, -ve). That's why divergence of magnetic field is zero (integral B.ds=0). In option A flux is entering and leaving so divergence of A is zero I think.

    1. Vishwanath...

When transmission line will terminate in the to load which is same of the characteristic .... No power or energy will be reflected...So every input will be observed. same as maximum power transfer theorem .
So reflection coefficient(T) will be 0
      And VSWR=(1+T)/(1-T)=1.

    2. VSWR is 1 that is correct. But they asked which is the wrong option!!!! so ans is option D

  12. for Q.no.31..ans is C not A(it is characteristic impedence not intrinsic impedence)..

    1. In question it is being asked about the characteristic impedence only so... answer is correct.
