In transistor we have 3 region as you will be knowing that
The best way to analyise these regions is nothing but the graph they have ploted with Ic(collector current) and Vce. the different parts of the graph have been stated as different regions .
Also it is very difficult to explain the whole concept virtually without the diagram .Please refer the book Sedra and Smith it will really help in understanding the concept.
